Action Packed Kid's Night

Our annual Kids Night & Bike Races took place during intermission with Treysom Holloman, Katie Sharpe & Skylar Hodge all brought home trophies in their respective age groups.

Our first feature event of the night, the Middlesex Family Dental Super Stock 4 division, lined up with Austin Larrison & Jason Horne leading this 14 car field to the green flag for 20 laps. William Carroll would push Jason Horne to the lead out of turn 1 while John Proctor would come up from 6th spot to take over 3rd. Folks, this all happened before lap 1 had even been completed!  Austin Larrison would lose several spots as Jason Horne, John Proctor, William Carroll, Austin Holcombe & Brandon Whitley held on to the top 5 spots. The caution would come out as Larrison spun in turn 4 on lap 5. Back green with no change in the top 5, but plenty of challenges. Jamie Bailey, currently in 6th spot, was trying to make a move on Brandon Whitley as the caution came out on lap 7 for a spin by Daniel Hill over in turn 2. Back green with Horne leading Proctor, Carroll, Holcombe and Whitely  Holcombe would get around Carroll for 3rd as Brandon Whitley started knocking on Carroll's back bumper for 4th spot . With 4th through 7th close enough to throw a blanket over, the top 3 seem to stretch out just a bit. Brandon Whitley would get into the turn 3 wall on lap 13 bringing out the 3rd caution of the night. Green flag with Proctor challenging Horne for the top spot only to fall back into 2nd. Austin Holcombe, William Carroll and Jamie Bailey rounded out the top 5. Great battle for 4th between the 8 of William Carroll and 27 of Jamie Bailey with Bailey taking over the 4th position and setting his sights on the top 3. Jason Horne would bring hone the win followed by John Proctor, Austin Holcombe, Jamie Bailey and William Carroll.

Up next, the always exciting PL Woodard Pure Stock V8 division with Gary Whitley & Carly Fulghum on the front row for this 15 lap feature. Amanda Liles would slide up and take over 2nd place from Carly Fulghum, while Kevin Beard held onto 4th and Jerry Williams rounded out the top 5. Gary Whitley held the pace with about a 10 car length lead over 2nd place. Kyle Howard would bring out the caution lap 5 but we were quickly back green with Amanda Liles challenging Gary Whitley for the lead while Kevin Beard got around Carly Fulghum to take over 3rd spot. Jerry Williams took over 4th spot as Fulghum fell back to 5th. Gary Whitley pulled away from Liles but Beard was not to be stopped as he got around to take over 2nd spot. Jerry Williams took over 3rd, Liles falling back to 4th and Fulghum rounded out the top 5. Gary Whitley's car started putting out a lot of smoke as he started losing his motor coming out of turn 2 on lap 13. This would shake things up as Kevin Beard went to the lead followed by Jerry Williams, Amanda Liles, Carly Fulghum and Willie Schwann. Williams would be all over Beard as they came to the white flag but Kevin Beard would bring home the win followed by Jerry Williams, Amanda Liles, Carly Fulghum & Willie Schwann.

Back green but quickly back under caution for 3rd place Greg Brown as he slowed in turn 2. Nick Hoffman also pitted for serious sheet metal damage. This would shake up the top 5, as Taylor Cooke continued to lead Russell Erwin, Kyle Strickler, Chris Parker and Brett Hamilton. With 10 complete, we were back green. A 2 car spin in turn 3 would again put us under caution, but after a quick regroup we were back under green. David Haggans would bring out the caution as he spun on the backstretch. Back green with JP Brantley leading Gary Dillon, David Barnes, Brent Atkinson and Cody Keith. At the drop of the green, a plume of smoke would come from the 51 of Thomas Holbrooke. After rolling in the moisture we were ready to go back green. Our final feature of the night, the Barnes Equipment Late Models, lined up for the 3rd race of the Barnes Fast Five Shootout. Christian Joyner & Russell Erwin sat on the front row. Michael Batten would bring out the caution on lap 18 when he spun on the backstretch. Back green with Erwin leading Joyner, Nelms, Sr., Lucas and Bobby Bottoms. Joyner would stick his nose under Erwin trying to take the lead away from Erwin as the laps wound down but could not complete the pass. Carlton Toney would bring out the caution again on lap 14 with a spin in turn 4. Back green with Erwin and Joyner battling it out for the lead as the caution would again come out for Toney who spun in turn 1. Back green with Erwin leading Joyner, Nelms, Sr., Bottoms and Lucas. White flag, Joyner under Erwin for the lead and would go on to bring home the win! What a pass! Wow folks!
