New England Dwarf Car Series First Month in Review and Preview of What’s Upcoming!

NASHUA, NH (May 27, 2024) – With the first month of the season in the books the New England Dwarf Car Series Presented by Construction Site Machinery takes a look back. 2022 Series Champion Cody Hodgdon in car #31 started the season out with a victory at Claremont Motorsports Park on April 28th just ahead of Tom Harwood in the 29 and Jason Hodgdon in the 31H third. Mother Nature would control the 2nd scheduled race of the season at Hudson Speedway on May 5th. Mother Nature would force the third race of the season at Lee USA Speedway back a day from Saturday May 18 to Sunday May 19th with Tom Harwood taking the win with Cody Hodgdon in 2nd and Ryan Carman in the 08 finished 3rd. Will we see a new face in victory lane? Or will Tom Harwood or Cody Hodgdon be the first to repeat this season?

What to look forward to in June:
Saturday June 1st the series heads north to Riverside Speedway and Adventure Park in Groveton, NH which always provides for great racing as the drivers of the Riverside Lil’ Rascals will look to compete against series regulars for the win!
Then on Saturday June 8th we head south to the New London Waterford Speedbowl in Waterford, CT. This will be the series first ever trip to the Speedbowl and the first ever trip to the state of Connecticut. History will be made as one driver will forever go down in the record books as the first winner at the track in series history.

We end the month at Star Speedway in Epping, NH on Friday June 28th. Star Speedway, which always puts on an entertaining show for the fan’s is also scheduled to host our season finale so this could foreshadow what to expect in October!

What’s New:
With the rainout on May 5th at Hudson Speedway it was recently determined to make the July 14th race a twin feature night! We will be doing twin 20’s that night and will forgo normal heat races. Both features will be individual point’s races. The drivers will be drawing for starting spots for the first feature event and for the second feature the lead lap cars will be inverted. The winner’s handicap will be in effect for both races.

To make it a little more exciting and to help the drivers out as they prepare to head into the second half of the season we will be selling the each lap for minimum of $25. Lap money will go towards providing a purse which will be paid out based on a combined finish of the two features using a golf style points system with the second feature being the tie breaker. Stay tuned for our post on our Facebook page about purchasing a lap.
