New England Dwarf Car Series

Harwood Victorious at Claremont Motorsports Park!

Claremont, NH- The New England Dwarf Car Series presented by Construction Site Machinery and Bumpy’s Auto Service of Salem, NH took to the banks of the 1/3 mile Claremont Motorsports Park this past Saturday evening. This would be the second to last points race of the season and results could carry numerous implications!

Seventeen cars made the trip looking to do battle. Tom Harwood in car #29 paced both practice sessions. While heat race wins went to car #31 Cody Hodgdon and #14 Andrew Harmon.

Ryan Carman in the 08 took to the early lead and held a strong lead before the caution flew on lap 8 as the 07 of Ronnie Carman had his motor expire and was unable to exit the track. Coming back to the green the #14 of Andrew Harmon experienced mechanical failure and was forced to exit the track. The field did an amazing job avoiding him and filling up to allow us to go back racing.

Ryan Carman got a great restart to resume the lead but he would quickly feel the heat turn up as Cody Hodgdon and Harwood had made their way through the field to be in striking distance. Cody Hodgdon made the pass for the lead on lap 12. Harwood would take the 2nd spot from Ryan Carman on lap 13.

Cody Hodgdon tried his best to runaway and hide but Harwood tracked him down and made the pass for the lead on lap 17. Harwood would capture his 9th win of the season. Cody Hodgdon finished 2nd with another strong run. Ryan Carman continues his Mr. Consistent approach finishing 3rd, as he continues to knock on the door of his first win. Zig Geno in #57 worked his way through the field to finish 4th and Chris Sullivan in the 0No rounded out the top 5.

The series heads this Friday night October 25th to Star Speedway for the Bumpy’s Auto Service Championship 30! We want to thank Nick and Bec from Bumpy’s for putting a purse together for this race! We also thank Accelo Racewear, American Racer New England, Original Wheelman, and Construction Site Machinery for supporting us during the season!

While mathematically Tom Harwood has clinched the championship we still have plenty of spots to sort out! Will Harwood get his 10th win on this magical season? Will Ryan Carman kick down the door to collect his first ever win? Or will someone else play spoiler to those two possible story lines!

Pits at Star open at 430pm with practice starting at 5pm. They have a trunk or treat going on from 5pm to 630pm. Heat races roll at 645pm!
