Lupton Crowned 2010 S2 Champion

At the tender age of only 16 yrs. old, Dylan Lupton is now an OFFICAL NASCAR DIVISION CHAMPION. On Saturday night at the famed Toyota Speedway located in Irwindale, Ca. Dylan won the title of NASCAR S2 Champion. It was a long tough season for Dylan and his team, yet thru hard work and their desire to succeed is what carried them to the end.

Coming into the last race of the season, Dylan had a six point lead on teammate Roman Lagudi. Lupton would qualify fifth for the start of the race, which ended up putting him in second place in the points at the start of the race, due to Roman starting in the first position on the grid. However, an early first corner pass, put Dylan in fourth place and made him the points leader once again. Dylan Lupton would go on to cruise into a solid fourth place finish, while Roman Lagudi ended up getting second. At the checkered flag, it was determined that Dylan Lupton was the 2010 S2 Series Champion winning the series by a mere two points.

"This year has been unbelievable. I struggled the first half of the season learning how to adapt to these cars from go karts, but my team and I just never gave up. We were able to rally back however this second part of the season to win championship," Lupton explained.

Dylan Lupton has accomplished his goal for the season and now sets out towards another one for next year. Dylan will be racing in the very competitive Late Model series at Toyota Speedway at Irwindale next year.
