Lupton Emerges Once Again To Take Second Place
Heading into the fifth round of the S2 Langers Juice series at Toyota Speedway at Irwindale, Dylan Lupton sat ten points behind the leader. After a little bit of luck and a hard charge from the rear of the field, Lupton left as the points leader.
Qualifying would show that Lupton would start fourth place for the race. Dylan expressed," I struggled in qualifying, but due to all the guys at High Point Racing's experience and knowledge of these cars, we were able to make the necessary adjustments to the car for the race." As the race began and all the drivers settled into their positions, Dylan sat in seventh place, while he had issues with his car in the first half of the race. After a red flag and a few cautions, Dylan was in the second position with five laps to go.
Lupton said," We were actually fortunate for the red flag and cautions to come out, because the car was able to tighten up in between each green flag run. Once the car tightened up, I had a great car and knew we could fight for a podium position." After a last hard charge to the checkered flags, Lupton was able to hold onto a second place finish and emerge as the points leader.
"Tonight was a great night for the team and I. We were able to capitalize on all the wrecks and bring the car home to a second place," Lupton said,"..with more seat time and experience, I am confident that we will see victory lane in no time."
Dylan Lupton would like to thank all his sponsors and people that made this night possible: High Point Racing, Durocast, D Racing Enterprises, Lupton Excavation, Justice Brothers, and Racecar Factory.
