Lupton Captures Third Victory Of The Season
On his quest to the championship, Dylan Lupton, driver of the #56 High Point Racing car, takes his third victory of the season. Heading into this weekend, Dylan was tied for points with teammate Roman Lagudi. Now heading into the last race of the season, Lupton has a six point lead on his teammate, due to a great performance and win this past weekend.
Qualifying would prove that Dylan would have to work for this victory after qualifying third place. At the start of the race, Lupton got a good run and dove to the bottom of the race track making it three wide in turn one and two. Dylan would then come out of turn two on the inside of teammate, Dave Busby. Dylan was forced to run on the bottom for multiple laps, until he finally got clear of the leader. Once Lupton took the lead he put his head down and ran away with the win to a gap of one and a half seconds.
"The car was great tonight, I was able to run anywhere on the track and it would stick. My crew gave me a great car for the race and I was able to capitalize with it and take the victory. With only one race remaining in the season, I just need to keep away from any problems and bring home the championship." Lupton expressed.
With only one race left for the championship, Lupton needs to keep his nose clean to bring home the championship and the rookie of the year title. Lupton will return to the track for his last S2 race on September 18th. Dylan Lupton couldn't have accomplished what he has so far this year, without the many partners and people backing him. Lupton would like to thank Durocast Radio, Lupton Excavation, D Racing Enterprises, High Point Racing, Justice Brothers, Liz-Zard Engines, Racecar Factory, and all the fans for the support.
