Brad Hamm Ushers In Fall With a Win

For the 2nd time this season, we are racing on Sunday after Mother Nature just threw a hissy fit on Saturday. Luckily, the weather was perfect for some Sunday night racing as drivers and fans returned to County Line Raceway. On the schedule for tonight, the Middlesex Family Dental Super Stock 4's, PL Woodard Pure Stock V8, PlayTyme Concessions Pure Stock 4's and the ARCO Restoration Thunder and Lightning.
Up first, the Middlesex Family Dental Super Stock 4's would line up with Nevin Twiddy & William Carroll on the front row. William Carroll would jump out front of Nevin Twiddy taking the lead with Twiddy falling back to 2nd spot. Jamie Bailey & Austin Holcombe battled for 3rd spot, with Bailey taking the spot from Holcombe, while Bill Winstead held onto 5th. Nevin Twiddy lost 2nd spot to Jamie Bailey on lap 4 when Twiddy slipped up to the high side just enough for Bailey to slide by. John Proctor started putting pressure on Holcombe for 5th spot as they came around to complete lap 8. Bill Winstead, in 4th spot, got door to door with Twiddy trying to take over 3rd spot as Proctor was side by side with Holcombe again for 5th. Proctor would take the spot from Holcombe as they crossed with 7 to go. With 5 to go, it was still William Carroll, Jamie Bailey, Nevin Twiddy, Bill Winstead and John Proctor. Bringing home his 2nd win it would be William Carroll, Jamie Bailey, Nevin Twiddy, Bill Winstead and John Proctor.
Coming out next, the PL Woodard Pure Stock V8 division with Wade Ferrell and Jerry Williams starting on the front row. Williams would take the point when Ferrell slipped up in turn 2. Carly Fulghum would bring out the caution with excessive fluid leaking from her car, on lap 2, and as we went back green, it was still Jerry Williams, Wade Ferrell, Gary Whitley, Roy Hall and Kevin Beard. Caution out again for the 42 of Wade Ferrell when he popped the wall while running 2nd in turn 3. Kevin Beard would also suffer mechanical failure and be pushed to the pits as well. Back green with 3 to go with Williams leading Gary Whitley, Roy Hall, Anthony Silveri and Willie Schwann. As we came to the checkers, it would be Jerry Williams, Gary Whitley, Roy Hall, Anthony Silveri and Willie Schwann.
Our third feature of the night, the PlayTyme Concessions Pure Stock 4's with David Haggans and Cody Keith on the front row. Keith would take the lead quickly followed by Haggans, Chris Collins, Cooper Edwards & Damian Bryant. First caution would involve 4 cars on lap 1 over in turn 4. Everyone involved was able to continue, and we were quickly back green. Thomas Holbrooke would suffer an engine failure and exit the track, while the battle was heating up between Damian Bryant and Gary Dillon with Dillon taking over 3rd spot. Up front it was Cody Keith and Cooper Edwards. As the laps wound down, and lap traffic became an issue, Cody Keith maneuvered around and brought home his 5th feature win this year. He was followed by Cooper Edwards, Gary Dillon, Damian Bryant and JP Brantley.
Our final event of the night, the ARCO Restoration Thunder & Lightning division with Johnnie Edmondson and Brad Hamm on the front row. Lap 1 would see a caution for debris over in turn 1 as a piece of sheet metal came off of a car. Back green with Brad Hamm leading Johnnie Edmondson, Chris Radford, Luke Owens and Mark Boykin. A 2 car spin on the backstretch would bring out the caution but both cars were able to continue. Back green with Brad Hamm leading Chris Radford, Luke Owens, Mark Boykin and Lane Proctor. Mark Boykin was holding onto 5th spot while Lane Proctor was chomping on his bumper for the position. Coming to the flag stand, with 5 to go, Proctor and Boykin would make contact pushing Boykin into the wall. After Boykin was taken to the pits, we were back green.
