Williamson Set for Season Opener and Debut at East Bay Raceway Park This Week

Inside Line Promotions – COLUMBIA, Mo. (Feb. 8, 2021) – Garet Williamson enters the 2021 season riding a wave of momentum and confidence.

The Bryant Paver Motorsports driver exceeded expectations last year when the team raced full time with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour during its first full season together. Williamson produced a pair of sprint car triumphs to highlight a season that featured many standout moments during national and regional action.

The focus is to continue on the strong path with added consistency this season, which begins this weekend when Williamson will make his debut in Florida. The team plans on racing Thursday through Saturday at East Bay Raceway Park near Tampa during the Ronald Laney Memorial King of the 360s.

“We ended last year strong and I want to start off this year strong,” he said. “We want to get comfortable again and get rolling quickly. We also want to get the kinks out before we start points racing.”

Williamson said the team is preparing to return to the ASCS National Tour, aiming to top last year’s ninth-place finish in the championship standings. He also anticipates a year of racing with many of the top 360ci sprint car drivers in the country will help him adapt quickly this weekend when he sees East Bay Raceway Park for the first time.

“That’s the biggest thing is being somewhere new every weekend and racing a bunch,” he said while noting a benefit of racing full time with the ASCS National Tour. “That’s huge. And every week we’re running with the best drivers. When you run with the best it gives you confidence at every race you go to.”
