Pair of podium finishes in Modified in Oklahoma

Friday night found Rodney Sanders in action at Outlaw Motor Speedway (Oktaha, Okla.) powering his Wichita Tank Racing No. 20 Modified. In a field of 28 USRA Modifieds, Sanders started the night off with an eight-lap heat race victory, which positioned him fourth on the starting grid for the A-Main. Gaining two spots in the 20-lap affair, Rodney scored a runner-up finish behind Joe Duvall. Tyler Davis, Lucas Gibbs, and Manuel Williams Jr. completed the Top-5 finishers.

On Saturday evening at Tri-State Speedway (Pocola, Okla.) for the 42nd annual Kegger, Rodney edged his way into the A-Main with the third-and-final transfer spot in his heat race. Passing nine cars in the 20-lap feature, Sanders posted a third-place finish, trailing Jason Hughes and Tyler Wolff to the checkers with Mike Hansen and Manuel Williams Jr. rounding out the Top-5.
