Sanders scores Top-5 finish in Fall Nationals at VSP

Rodney Sanders trekked to Vado Speedway Park (Vado, N.M.) on Thursday afternoon to take part in the USRA Fall Nationals. With a third-to-first run in his heat race lining him up fourth on the starting grid for the opening night feature, Sanders held his spot for all 25 laps to finish fourth.

On Friday, Rodney started the night off with a heat race victory before coming in second in the preliminary feature. He followed Jake O’Neil across the line with Terry Phillips, Tanner Mullens, and Lance Mari rounding out the Top-5.

For the $21,000-to-win USRA Fall Nationals finale on Saturday, Sanders dropped two spots in the 50-lapper to register a fifth-place finish. He trailed Jake O’Neil, Tanner Mullens, Terry Phillips, and Shane DeVolder to the checkers.
