12th-place finish in Wood Tic Dan Salay Memorial at Merritt

Colin Shipley traveled to Merritt Speedway (Merritt, Mich.) on Friday afternoon to debut in a brand new color scheme on his No. 44 Late Model as he teamed up with the CURE SMA to help raise money for Spinal Muscular Atrophy. Drawing 33 Sunoco American Late Model Series entries for the two-day Wood Tic Dan Salay Memorial, Shipley timed in fourth fastest in his group before placing third in his heat race.

Starting Saturday night’s $33,000-to-win A-Main in 15th, Colin gained three spots in the 75-lap affair to register a 12th-place finish.
