Colin Shipley races to fourth-place finish at Tri-City

Looking to avoid the rain, Shipley Racing headed to Tri-City Motor Speedway (Auburn, Mich.) on Friday afternoon with Colin Shipley powering his Domination Race Cars No. 44s Late Model. Holding off a charging Cody Bauer in his heat, Colin stormed to a 10-lap victory. Rolling off third for the feature, Colin dropped one spot in the 30-lapper to register a fourth-place finish. On Saturday evening, Shipley made his debut with the DIRTcar Summer Nationals at Oakshade Raceway (Wauseon, Ohio) for the 23rd annual Birthday Race. Following a fourth-place finish in his heat, Colin came one spot shy of a transfer spot in his B-Main with a third-place finish. Earning a provisional into the $10,000-to-win A-Main, Shipley was involved in a multi-car tangle on the second lap that ended his night early.
