Colin Shipley finishes fourth at Oakshade

Friday night found Colin Shipley in action at Winston Speedway (Rothbury, Mich.) to kick off his Memorial Day weekend. After lowering the track record in time trials, Colin posted a second-place finish in his heat behind Rusty Schlenk, which positioned him on the pole for the opening night feature. Running into trouble early, Shipley pulled off on the eighth lap of the 25-lap affair.

The following night at Oakshade Raceway (Wauseon, Ohio) for the Sunoco American Late Model Series sanctioned contest, Shipley passed three cars in his heat race to place third. With $2,000 on the line in the feature, Colin gained three spots to register a fourth-place finish. He trailed Casey Noonan, Jeep Van Wormer, and Devin Shiels to the checkers with Dusty Moore coming in fifth.
