Colin Shipley notches Top-5 finish at Oakshade

Friday found Colin Shipley in action at Tri-City Motor Speedway (Auburn, Mich.) for the opening night of the Allstar Performance Challenge miniseries. With 37 Late Models entered, Shipley logged a seventh-place finish in his heat before placing second in his B-Main. With the Last Chance Qualifier giving four cars a chance at the $5,000-to-win A-Main, Colin fell short with a seventh-place finish.

The following night at Oakshade Raceway (Wauseon, Ohio), Colin posted a runner-up finish in his heat behind Casey Noonan, which positioned him on the pole for the feature. Fading three spots, Shipley scored a third-place finish. He trailed Rusty Schlenk, Devin Shiels, and Casey Noonan to the checkers with Dusty Moore coming in fifth.
