Inside Line Promotions – DE SOTO, Kan. (March 26, 2019) – Mandy Chick is focusing on the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour in 2019 as she will spend her second full-time season making another run for the championship.
“We ran the full JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour last year and came up short for the championship,” she said. “We had that heartbreaker of a weekend that ultimately took us out, but looking back on it, it makes me hungrier for that championship. That’s our goal for 2019 is to put ourselves in contention for the championship and to be able to pull it off this year.”
Chick had a busy offseason as she and the team prepared the race cars for the second season on the road. However, her season will kick off earlier than usual as she heads to her home track of Lebanon I-44 Speedway in Lebanon, Mo., this Saturday.
“We tore down two cars during the offseason and completely rebuilt them so it’s been pretty busy for us,” she said. “We plan to test at my home track of Lebanon I-44 Speedway on Friday and that’s also where we will start the season on Saturday. It will be the first time in almost two years that we have been at that track so I’m excited to go back and see what kind of success we will have applying everything that we have learned from racing with the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour.
“Naturally, I have a deep love for Lebanon because it is my home track. We have had a lot of success there and learned a lot. It’s sweet for me to be able to go back. I think it will take me a few laps to pick back up from where we left off, but I think it will come to me rather quickly and will be really fun."
Chick will make a couple more stops at her home track throughout the season as well as making select super late model and dirt midget starts.
“We will run a couple races at Lebanon I-44 Speedway, compete for a championship with the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour again and hopefully throw a couple of super late model and midget races in there, so it will be a busy year for us,” she said.
Chick also welcomed two new sponsors, Zycoat and Hushmat, this season.
“We have two sister companies coming on board this season in ZyCoat and HushMat,” she said. “We’re really excited to bring them on for the season and have their support. We tried out one of ZyCoat’s products – ZyBar, which is the first high performance, high temperature coating that you can apply yourself and it worked well for us. HushMat has thermal insulation products that are also do-it-yourself. Partnering with us and reciprocating that gives them the opportunity to break into some new markets that they haven’t been exposed to and with both companies being high performance based, racing is a good fit.”
