Chick Claims Top-10 Finish in Return to Lebanon I-44 Speedway

Inside Line Promotions – LEBANON, Mo. (May 16, 2017) – Mandy Chick returned to her home track of Lebanon I-44 Speedway last Saturday to open the 2017 season.

“It was great to be back at Lebanon,” she said. “I felt at home and in my element. It’s also good that we get to race there a couple of times before the JEGS/CRA All Stars Tour goes there in June.”

Chick gained speed in practice before qualifying 11th quickest.

“It’s been six months since I’ve been behind the wheel so it was nice to get some seat time beforehand,” she said. “We were able to practice with a couple other teams so we could learn from them, but overall I think it went really well.

“When we went into qualifying, I figured out that that was something that we needed to work on. But I have no doubt that my team and I can make adjustments and improve.”

After 30 green flag laps around the asphalt oval, Chick climbed to a seventh-place result during her first feature of the season.

“We raced really hard throughout the main event, but it was good, clean racing,” she said.

“We have a great car and a great team to win. We just have to be in the right place at the right time. But I feel so confident in their ability, as well as my own, to put us in position to get that first win soon.”

Chick will return to Lebanon I-44 Speedway this Saturday.
