Mike Benedum Hangs on to Finish Fourth at Lernerville
The team returned to action on Friday evening as they made their first ever visit to Lernerville Speedway (Sarver, Pennsylvania). A Weekly Racing Series program was contested, which would serve as the final opportunity to test before the annual Firecraker 100.
Mike recorded a fourth place finish in heat race action, earning him the twelfth starting spot in the feature. Benedum worked his way up to second and was looking to make a bid for the lead before rough track conditions would play a factor. Despite mechanical issues on his Benedum Motorsports #25 BSI Well Service/Longhorn/Roush Yates Racing Engine Super Late Model, Mike was able to hold on for a fourth place finish behind race winner, Dave Hess Jr., Alex Ferree, and Chub Frank.
