Pair of top-10's for Johnny Scott in USRA Fall Nationals at Vado
Johnny Scott returned to racing over the weekend as he entered his Mesilla Valley Transportation No. 1st Modified into battle at Vado Speedway Park (Vado, N.M.) for the Rancho Milagro USRA Fall Nationals.
Amongst a stout field of 46 Modifieds on Friday, Scott stormed into the opener with a third-to-first run in his consolation race after missing a transfer spot by one car in his heat. Climbing six positions in the 25-lapper, Johnny muscled to an 11th-place finish.
For Saturday’s preliminary night, Johnny followed up a runner-up showing in his heat with a sixth-place finish in the A-Main.
Locked into the 10th-starting position for Sunday’s $20,000-to-win USRA Fall Nationals finale, Scott improved two spots in the 50-lap affair to register an eighth-place finish.
