Krug claims third place points finish for NASCAR Weekly Racing action at I-80 Speedway
Josh Krug Racing – Ashland-Greenwood, Neb. (09/06/2020) - Josh Krug finished the 2020 NASCAR Weekly Racing season at I-80 Speedway with a fourth place run in Friday night's A Feature at I-80 Speedway.
The top five run allowed Krug to finish the 2020 NASCAR weekly racing campaign in a career high third place.
Krug started sixth in his heat that featured the top eight in the points standings. After battling through traffic Krug was able to race his way to a third place finish. That finish allowed him to start in third for the feature.
After falling back to fifth on the initial start, Krug battled his way back to up to fourth before leader John Anderson retired from the race with engine issues. Krug took the restart from the third but a charging Ben Schaller was able to make his way by half way through the feature.
As the checkered flag flew, Krug was able to lock down a fourth place run for his second top five of the shortened season.
Krug and the Dr. Vinyl No. 4k will return to action on Saturday, Sept. 12 with the Malvern Bank Super Late Models at I-80 Speedway for the Casey's Fall Brawl.
