Tyler Erb
Terbo fourth in Lucas Oil's Melvin Joseph Memorial at Georgetown Speedway
Tackling an eastern swing with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS), Tyler Erb and the Best Performance Motorsports team trekked to Georgetown Speedway (Georgetown, Del.) on Thursday afternoon for the Melvin Joseph Memorial.
In a field of 30 cars, Erb timed in third-fastest in his group before placing second in his heat. Chasing a $18,049 payday in the feature, Tyler climbed one position in the 50-lap affair to register a fourth-place finish. He trailed Ricky Thornton Jr., Brandon Overton, and Mike Marlar across the line with Garrett Alberson coming in fifth.
With the field inflated to 52 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) on Friday at Port Royal Speedway (Port Royal, Pa.) for the two-day Rumble by the River, Tyler suffered heavy right front damage while running in the top-five of his prelim that dropped him to 18th in the finishing order.
On Saturday, Erb secured his spot into the $50,000-to-win finale with a consolation victory after missing a transfer spot by one car in his heat. Starting in 20th, Tyler steered forward seven spots in the 50-lapper to finish 13th.
Tyler is currently tied for seventh in the latest LOLMDS point standings.
