Runner-up finish in Coors Light Fall Classic at Whynot
Best Performance Motorsports and Tyler Erb were one of 48 teams entered at Whynot Motorsports Park (Meridian, Miss.) on Friday to compete in a round of preliminaries to kick off the 29th annual Coors Light Fall Classic weekend.
With a fourth-to-second run in his heat race positioning him on the second row for his preliminary feature, Erb was collected in a tangle with another competitor while battling for the lead on lap 18 that dropped him to the tail. He salvaged a ninth-place finish from the back.
On Saturday, Tyler locked into the $15,000-to-win Coors Light Fall Classic finale with a second-place showing in his heat. Reeling in a runner-up finish from the fourth row, Erb chased Ashton Winger to the checkers in the 60-lapper with Dennis Erb Jr. rounding out the podium.
