Terbo finishes fifth in Gopher 50 prelim at Deer Creek Speedway

Tyler Erb unloaded the Best Performance Motorsports No. 1 Late Model into battle with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) on Thursday afternoon at Deer Creek Speedway (Spring Valley, Minn.) for the NAPA Auto Parts Gopher 50 weekend.

With a third-place finish in his heat race lining him up on the sixth row for Thursday’s preliminary feature, Erb improved six spots in the 25-lapper to place fifth. He trailed Devin Moran, Jonathan Davenport, Brandon Sheppard, and Tim McCreadie to the checkers.

For another $5,000-to-win prelim on Friday, Tyler followed up a sixth-to-third run in his heat with an 11th-place finish in the A-Main.

Locked into the eighth-starting position for Saturday’s $50,000-to-win NAPA Auto Parts Gopher 50 via preliminary results from Thursday and Friday, Erb was an early retiree from the 75-lap affair on lap 41 while running ninth.

He also competed in a Modified over the three-day weekend where he finished 19th, 19th, and seventh on Saturday.

Tyler is currently ninth in the latest LOLMDS point standings.
