Bouncing Back!
Cole and Waters Motorsports connected for the first win of their partnership this past Saturday night at Sweet Springs Raceway. The win was a great moment for the team and may very well prove to be a turning point in what has been an up and down season thus far.
Starting 6th in his Sportsman class heat race, Cole quickly worked his way towards the front for a second place finish. Cole then started on the pole for the feature and never looked back, leading all 30 laps enroute to his first feature win of the year and first ever in the Sportsman class. With this win, Cole has now won a race in all 5 micro sprint classes he has competed in, an accomplishment he is quite proud of.
Still without a motor for the Outlaw car, the team decided to experiment at XX Speedway on Sunday night. After putting race tires, a nose wing, and changing the gear, Cole took to the 1/4 mile XX Speedway to test his luck in the Sportsman car. Although we did not fare too well, being slightly underpowered, Cole had a fun night racing his favorite track.
