Up in Smoke
Bad luck struck the Waters Motorsports team again Saturday night at Sweet Springs Raceway. After damaging a motor during the feature at Atchison County Raceway two weeks ago, the back-up motor only made 10 laps before ending Cole's night.
With a decent pill draw, Cole started his heat race from inside row 2 and fell into third when the green flag dropped. He spent the remainder of the race trying to pass for 2nd on the bottom, but was unsuccessful, finishing 3rd. What looked to be a good start to the evening soon turned sour. Coming off turn 4 to take the checkered, an oil pressure line blew off, causing a damaged rod bearing.
After hurting both of the teams engines during the past two races, Cole and team will be unable to attend the Micro Mayhem race in Garden City, Kansas this weekend. Follow Cole on Facebook or Twitter for updates on the teams next race. We hope to see all our fans back at the track soon!
