John Duty posts Willamette podium finish
The Double Duty Motorsports team scored a third-place result at Willamette Speedway on Saturday night with John Duty behind the wheel of the No. 5 Super Late Model.
Duty opened the evening by turning in the second-quickest qualifying time in the 13-car Late Model field at the 1/3-mile track in Lebanon, Oregon. He went on to finish third in his heat race and second in the trophy dash, ultimately starting him 11th in the 40-lap feature.
He marched forward an impressive eight spots in the main event to finish third behind Kyle Frick and Bryan Norton. Cory Yeack and Rob Campos completed the top five.
