Top-5 finish for Justin Duty at Peoria
After a series of rainouts kept Justin Duty from racing throughout much of April, he finally hit the track again on Saturday with the Midwest Auto Racing Series (MARS) at Illinois’ Peoria Speedway.
The Double Duty Motorsports driver was one of 36 talented DIRTcar Late Model competitors in the pits at the quarter-mile oval for the Garry Swibold Memorial paying $5,098 to win.
Duty clocked the 10th quickest time in his group qualifying session and transferred to the 40-lap feature with a fourth-place result in his heat.
He started 16th in the main event and marched steadily forward to finish fourth behind Ryan Unzicker, Tommy Sheppard and Jake Little. Allen Weisser completed the top five.
