Pair of Top-10 finishes with Lucas Oil MLRA

Thursday night saw Justin Duty return with the Lucas Oil Midwest LateModel Racing Association (MLRA) at Maquoketa Speedway (Maquoketa, Iowa). In a field of 17 cars, Duty locked into the 15th-starting position for the A-Main after pulling off early in his heat race. The following night at Mississippi Thunder Speedway (Fountain City, Wis.) for the River City Rumble, Justin logged a seventh-place finish in his heat after dealing with carburetor issues. Passing four cars in his B-Main to finish sixth, Duty locked into the 22nd-starting position for the $10,000-to-win A-Main. Breaking into the Top-10, Justin passed 13 cars in the 50-lap affair to finish ninth.

For the weekend finale on Saturday at Deer Creek Speedway (Spring Valley, Minn.), Duty came in eighth fastest overall in time trials before placing second in his heat behind Chris Simpson. With $5,000 on the line in the feature, Justin dropped three spots in the 40-lapper to place eighth.

Justin remains in eighth in the latest Lucas Oil MLRA point standings.
