14th-place finish in Duel in the Desert opener at Las Vegas

Friday night found Justin Duty in action at Las Vegas Motor Speedway (Las Vegas, Nev.) returning to the driver’s seat of his Don Frank Floors No. 15 Late Model for the Duel in the Desert. Drawing 32 Late Models for the two-day event, Justin followed up the fourth-fastest lap in his time trial group with a third-place finish in his heat. On Saturday evening, Duty missed a transfer spot by one position in his heat, relegating him into the B-Main. Powering to a 10-lap consolation victory, Justin locked into the 17th-starting position for the $50,000-to-win finale. He was an early retiree from the 77-lapper on the 47th circuit while being credited with a 19th-place outing.
