Duty notches Top-5 finish in Freedom Classic opener

Justin Duty traveled to Salina Highbanks Speedway (Salina, Okla.) on Friday afternoon to compete in the two-day Freedom Classic. In a field of 14 Lucas Oil Midwest Late Model Racing Association (MLRA) entries, Justin timed in eighth fastest before placing third in his heat. Starting the opening night feature in sixth, Duty clawed forward one spot in the 30-lapper to finish fifth. On Saturday afternoon, Dustin posted a third-place finish in his heat, which positioned him ninth on the starting grid for the $5,000-to-win finale. He was an early retiree from the 40-lapper with nine laps remaining.

Justin climbed to fifth in the latest Lucas Oil MLRA point standings.
