BDS building momentum heading into the biggest month of the year
Dupo, IL (July 20, 2018) The last couple weeks have been very solid for the BDS Motorsports team and driver Travis Rilat. Picking up two top five finishes last week and eight top ten finishes in the last month, the team seems to be hitting its stride right at the best time of the season. As the team heads into August, everyone looks to continue building on these last few weeks as they head into some busy days at the historic Knoxville Raceway.
Last week, BDS and Rilat picked up two top five finishes and added a sixth-place finish in Gillette, Wyoming with the ASCS on Wednesday. After returning home from Wyoming, the team headed to Knoxville Raceway on Saturday where Travis qualified fifth, finished second in his heat race, and then finished third in the A-main. It was a great return to Knoxville, a place where the BDS team has had a lot of success over the last few years. After Knoxville, the team had a day off from racing on Sunday and then unloaded at the Brown County Speedway in Aberdeen, South Dakota on Monday night. Travis and the team finished off the weekend with a second-place heat race run and a fourth-place finish in the A-main.
Tonight the team will head to the Jackson Motorplex in Jackson, Minnesota, followed by another trip to Knoxville on Saturday. As the team gears up for the famed Knoxville 360 and 410 Nationals, getting good laps at Knoxville will only help the team. With the team’s shop located in nearby Newton, stay tuned for information regarding team plans during the Nationals events. After being gone on the road for so much of the season, the guys at BDS are looking forward to being back home for a bit and seeing all their Knoxville Raceway fans.
