Hodges Motosrports Update - USA Raceway

Our second night is in the books after running the non-wing portion of the 44th Annual Kronik Energy Drinks Western World Championships yesterday here in Tucson, AZ. We were up and down through the night, starting off pulling pill 38 which set me second row outside of the third heat. On the get go, I got a decent jump into turn 1 but got out of shape and lost some ground to 3rd. After that I regrouped and started running the bottom line to get past. Eventually I got next to him and was able to slide to second, but first to far out ahead to go after so I finished 2nd from 4th in my heat. That made 4th highest point guy and put me in the top 8 redraw where I pulled 8. Now starting on the 4th row outside of the feature I buried it into turn 1 and made some ground but lost it all on exit and I found myself back to about 13th. From there I had to start working forward and I tried to make the bottom line work for several laps. I got by a few people early up to 10th before a red flag around lap 10. Soon after the restart I went up to the cushion which was the fast way around, and I got by for 9th. Towards the last 5 laps of the race I made up a lot of ground running the top and I approached the transfer spot in 7th and the 8th place car, but biked in turn 2. Luckily I was able to save it and start back up again. I once again got close but caught the left side in the air off turn 2 again in the cushion and after that I was lucky just to hold my position. Both nights we have fought the same problems but tonight we look to fix those and hopefully get ourselves into the feature event. In the non-wing car, I will start outside the front row of the first B. In the wing car I will start inside row 3 in the first B. In both 3 transfer, so we have a decent shot to put it in the show.
