In September of 2008, Josh stepped up to sprint cars and competed against Johnny Herrera, Rickey Hood and ASCS Rocky Mountain Champion Derrik Ortega in his first race. He won the B Main and finished 14th in the A feature. He then ran the ASCS Southwest Series in 2009 and was awarded 3rd in Southwest points along with Southwest Rookie of the Year. He also became the yongest ASCS main event winner at 14 years, 4 months and 23 days of age and won the National Winged 360 Rookie of the Year voted on by the North American 360 Sprint Car Poll voting panel of media members, promoters, sanctioning officials and manufacturers.

He and his dad, Jack, have a passion for racing and enjoy working together on the cars and their program. Josh Hodges

Josh Hodges was born a race fan who also enjoys football, basketball, music, and video games. He is a 21 year old student attending New Mexico Tech and is looking forward to continuing his education and a career in racing.

At 7 years old he began racing quarter midgets with the Roadrunner Quarter Midget Association in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He ran Junior Novice, Junior Honda, Senior Honda, Light 160, Senior Stock, Light B, and Exhibition World Formula classes. During this time, he competed locally in Albuquerque, New Mexico along with regional and national events which took him to Arizona, Texas, Colorado, California, Nevada, Oregon, Indiana, Georgia and Oklahoma. Most of his experience was on asphalt in quarter midgets, however, he did compete on dirt and enjoyed it very much. He raced in approximately 70 main events a year and has won seasonal championships, regional championships, and national events.

In October of 2005 he made the change to 600 micro sprints and competed in Restricted, Non-Wing and Outlaw 600 classes in Arizona, California, Texas, Kansas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, and New Mexico. He has raced at 19 different tracks, on dirt and asphalt, with wins in New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas and Kansas.
