Dover Tackling World of Outlaws Races at I-80 and Lakeside This Weekend

Inside Line Promotions – SPRINGFIELD, Neb. (Oct. 10, 2022) – Jack Dover is joining the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series this weekend during a pair of races in the Midwest.

The action begins on Friday at I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Neb., followed by the Lakeside Speedway Showdown presented by Micro-Lite on Saturday at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kan.

“I’m feeling pretty good,” said Dover, who will drive the Chris and Rick Bowers’ owned No. 81 sprint car. “The expectation is to make the A Main. The biggest goal is to earn a top 10. I-80 is my home track so we’ll have a shot at that, but the Outlaws are tough.

“It’s hard to go in there and be overly optimistic. They are Outlaws. They do it 90 times a year. Their stuff is top notch. They are always on kill mode. If you can overcome that mentally you’ll be 30 times better.”

Dover has a 360ci sprint car win this season at I-80 Speedway, where he was the 2021 track champion. He made his first career World of Outlaws feature start at the track last year.

Dover nearly advanced into the feature last year during his World of Outlaws debut at Lakeside Speedway before a blown tire in the closing laps resulted in a DNF.

“The motors will be running really good this weekend because it’s colder weather,” he said. “I’m hoping there’s not too much water on the tracks and they slick up a bit and get close to the wall.

“I’m looking forward to ending the season on a positive note with the No. 81 team. I want to thank them for another good year of running together and hopefully we can put together a pair of strong performances this weekend.”
