Pair of Top-5's for Troutman at Bedford Speedway

After Friday’s program was postponed, Drake Troutman unloaded the Jerry Foster-owned No. 5 Modified at Ultimate Motorsports Park (Elkin, N.C.) on Saturday at the North Carolina oval for the second round of the Modified Mafia Tour.

Starting the $5,000-to-win A-Main in 13th via a third-place heat showing, Troutman was an early retiree from the 40-lapper on the ninth circuit.

Pulling double duty in the Late Model and Modified ranks on Sunday at Bedford Speedway (Bedford, Pa.), Drake scored a pair of Top-5 finishes in both features. Following a fourth-place finish in the Late Model A-Main, Troutman backed up a heat race win in the Modified ranks with a third-place finish in the A-Main. He followed Spike Moore and Mike Altobelli Jr. across the line.
