TOM CARLSON CAPTURES LETTOW 25 OUTLAW TOUR RACE AT MADISON
Tom Carlson powered to the Feature win for the 602 Outlaw Late Model Tour Friday night at Madison International Speedway. Ray Hellenbrand and Bryce Miller brought the field to green for the 25 lap main event. Hellenbrand and Charlie Bates would jump out early as Tom Carlson started to reel them in. Carlson would battle to the outside to take the lead from Hellenbrand with 10 to go. Caution would fly causing a final restart 5 laps to go. Carlson and Bryce Miller would make up the front row for the final restart. Miller would fall into a big time battle with Hellenbrand, Alex Hartwig and Bobby Wilberg for the runner up spot. This would allow Tom Carlson to cruise to the Checkers the dominant Outlaw Late Model on the night. Carlson was followed to the line by Ray Hellenbrand, Bryce Miller, Bobby Wilberg and Alex Hartwig. Dennis Prunty won the fast dash as the heats were won by Rick Coppernoll and Jason Stark. Tom Carlson was fast time for the 17 602 Outlaw Late Models in the house with a lap of 19.040. The inaugural season for the 602 Outlaw Late Model Tour is set for an amazing finish as the tour invades Dells Raceway Park October 22 as part of the Falloween 150. Points battles are tight and racing is at a fever pitch! You will want to be there for this !!!
