KAHLER WINS FALLOWEEN NIGHT CAP

Wisconsin Dells WI 10/22/22-Max Kahler of Caledonia IL, scored his first Super Late Model Victory at Dells Raceway Park in the second Falloween 75 presenting by Wehrs Machine & Racing Products. Steve Apel and Johnny Sauter would bring the field to the green for the final time in 2022 under the lights at DRP. The battle was fierce right out of the gate with neither driver giving an inch. Apel would take advantage of the low groove to eventually dispatch of the former NASCAR Truck Series Champion. He would try to get away but would be chased down and passed by a very racy Jordan Thiel. Thiel would look strong at the point as he survived many challenges due to cautions. Max Kahler would hang around quietly for the first part of the race but just past halfway it was imminent that it was time to go as he would fire to the lead and try to gap the field as the laps fell by the wayside. Race one winner Johnny DeAngelis Jr. would fight from the 6th row to get to 2nd with 15 to go. Unfortunately the battle to the front took a little too much from the 7 machine as he was unable to chase down the young gun in the Rat Nasty 17. Kahler would hit the stripe first followed by DeAngelis Jr., Steve Apel, Ryan Farrell and Jordan Thiel. Gabe Sommers would take his 2nd and 11th place finishes and turn them into a 2022 Alive for Five Series Championship. The qualifying races were won by Jeff Storm and Josh “JJ” Wallace. The B-Main was won by Brandon Hill. Mike Lichtfeld was the fastest of 32 Alive for Five Super Late Models with a lap of 13.284.
