Riley Watson Wins the South Sound Modified Main Event

South Sound Speedway on Saturday September 21, 2024, was full of excitement with five classes on hand. Olympia Auto Sales & RV South Sound Modifieds, 12 cars for 50-laps, Goebel Septic Tank Service, Inc NW Focus Midgets, 12 cars for 25-laps, D&S Light Truck and Auto Pro Late Models, 5 cars for 50-laps, Black Lake Towing Legends, 12 cars for 31-laps, and Quality Quick Lube-n-Tune Bandoleros, 6 cars for 10-laps.
South Sound Modifieds Main Event started with Riley Watson on the pole, and Dan Walker on the outside. Walker takes the lead on lap 1. On lap 11, front stretch, Grant Charneski spins, bringing out caution number 1. R. Watson takes the lead on lap 12 and goes on to win the South Sound Modifieds 50-lap Main event, followed by Walker, Kalob Watson, Robert Clark, and Shane Sawin to round out the top five.
Riley Watson had a fast time of 14.774.
Gage Sharp wins heat race #1, and Kalob Watson wins heat race #2.

NW Focus Midget Main Event started with Tyler West on the pole, and Dalton Christmas on the outside. T. West takes the lead on lap 1 and goes on to win the NW Focus Midget 25-lap Main event, followed by Devan West, Christmas, Jason Thomas, and Keegan Creager to round out the top five.
Tyler West had a fast time of 14.070.
Devan West wins heat race #1, and Jason Thomas wins heat race #2.

Pro Late Model Main Event started with Tom Sweatman on the pole, and Trevor Flora on the outside. Sweatman takes the lead on lap 1. Matt Barrett takes the lead on lap 8 and goes on to win the Pro Late Model 50-lap Main event, followed by Flora, Chase Gardener, Sweatman, and Aaron Flett to round out the top five.

Legend Main Event started with Dylan Wolf on the pole, and Kyle Kinzebach on the outside. Wolf takes the lead on lap 1. On lap 1, turn 2, Shane Sawin, Kyle Kinzebach, Curt Boyle, and Rick McNeill get together and spin, Sawin goes into the wall, bringing out caution number 1 and a red flag. On lap 4, turn 4, Danny Arnold and Kaylee Decker spin, bringing out caution number 2. On lap 7, turn 2, Allie-Mae Jones and Ricky Arnold get together, bringing out caution number 3. On lap 14, back stretch, Boyle spins, bringing out caution number 4. On lap 31, turn 1, Josh Wharton’s throttle sticks and he goes into the wall, bringing out caution number 5 and a red flag. On the re-start of lap 31, R. Arnold and McNeill get together, bringing out caution number 6 and a checkered flag. Wolf goes on to win the Legend 31-lap Main event, followed by William Evans, Decker, R. Arnold, and McNeill to round out the top five.

Bandoleros’ Main Event started with Jace Ellis on the front row. After the green flag, turn 4, Hemi Franks spins, bringing out caution number 1. Ellis takes the lead on lap 1. On lap 2, turn 4, Ryder Jones’ car flips several times, bringing out caution number 2 and a red flag. On lap 10, turn 4, TJ Schlund spins, bringing out caution number 3 and a checkered flag. Ellis goes on to win the Bandoleros 10-lap Main event, followed by Franks, Rylan Presley, Kelzyn Watson, and Schlund to round out the top five.
Jace Ellis had a fast time of 17.757.
