Tyler County Speedway Hosts 8th Annual Modified MEGA 100 This Saturday Night

Middlebourne, WV - Tyler County Speedway is thrilled to announce the return of the 8th Annual Modified MEGA 100, set to take place this Saturday Night, July 20th. After a year-long hiatus, the much-anticipated event returns to America's Baddest Bullring, promising an electrifying night of short track racing excitement featuring the nation's top modified teams and sanctioned by the Modified Mafia. The highlight of the event will be the UMP Modified teams competing for glory in a pair of $1,200-to-win 25-lap preliminary features. The top 10 finishers from each preliminary race will secure their spot in the grand $7,500-to-win Modified MEGA feature event. A total of 44 cars will be guaranteed a place in one of the two preliminary features, ensuring an action-packed night of racing.

The Modified MEGA 100 has a short but storied history at America’s Baddest Bullring. From its debut in 2015 that would see Jacob Hawkins pick up the monumental win aboard Junior Nolan’s fast hotrod. The Fairmont, WV racer would go back to back in 2016 while a Tarheel State driver, Taylor Cook would grab victory in 2017. The 2018 version would welcome a sunshine state winner in Jeff Matthews to Victory Lane. While the 2019 race would see car owner Junior Nolan nab his 3rd MEGA trophy, this time with Eddie Carrier Jr. behind the wheel. The 2020 version would overcome COVID and see 3rd generation local racer Daniel Hill put the #8 machine in Victory Circle. Rain would take the checkers in 2021 while New Yorker Rich Michael Jr. would garner the last MEGA event in 2022. Who will add their name to the who’s who’ list of open wheel legends this Saturday Night?

In addition to the Modified MEGA 100, the event will feature an impressive lineup of races including the Stutler Motorsports Super Late Models, J&R Excavating RUSH Late Models, Sigler Fabrication Hotmods, SCDRA 4 Cylinders, and Pathway Real Estate Professional Mini Wedges. Gates will open at 4 PM, with Mini Wedges taking the track at 6 PM and Hotlaps/Qualifying starting at 7 PM.

General admission tickets are priced at $20, with children 10 and under admitted for free. Pit passes are available for $40, with free admission for children 5 and under. Tickets can be purchased online at www.tylercountyspeedwayonline.com or at the gate on the day of the event. All major credit cards are also accepted.
