Tyler County Speedway Gears Up to Celebrate 2023 Track Champions

Excitement fills the air as the Hometown Racing Association adds the finishing touches to the remarkable 2023 racing season. Join us for the highly anticipated Annual Champions Award Banquet, where we’ll honor the outstanding achievements of the season’s best racers. Additionally, get an exclusive sneak peek into the thrilling events planned for the upcoming 2024 50th Anniversary Season. Get ready for a night of celebration and a glimpse into the exciting season ahead.

Scheduled for Saturday Night, January 20th, 2024, the Champions Banquet will be hosted at the Lewis-Wetzel Family Center in New Martinsville, WV. The evening will kick off with doors opening at 5pm, followed by a delightful social hour. At 6pm, attendees will enjoy a sumptuous dinner catered by Quinet’s, with the highlight of the awards presentation taking place at 7pm. The celebration will continue with DJ Entertainment and dancing, promising an unforgettable night.

The spotlight of the evening will be on the outstanding achievements of the 2023 track champions, including notable names such as Kyle Thomas in the Stutler Motorsports Super Late Models, presented by Midcap Land and Timber, Donnie Dotson in the J&R Excavating RUSH Late Models, Shawn Jett in the Jenkins Auto Parts UMP Modifieds, Brian Probst in the J&L Collision Center Hotmods, Lance Weppler in the Middlebourne Galaxy Food Center Sportmods, Travis Corbin in the Dual Threat Sports Cards SCDRA 4 Cylinders, and the dynamic duo Leah Brightwell and Cruz Thomas in the Hino Motors Manufacturing USA Mini Wedges. The top five finishers in each division will also be recognized for their outstanding performance.

About the Bullring: Established in 1974, Tyler County Speedway renowned as America’s Baddest Bullring, stands as a premier motorsports complex boasting a ¼ mile high bank clay oval. Operated by the Hometown Racing Association, it is conveniently located 3 ½ miles south of Middlebourne, WV at the Tyler County Fairgrounds. The Bullring hosts weekly Saturday Night racing from April to September, featuring a spectacular lineup of Super Late Models, RUSH Late Models, UMP Modifieds, Sportmods, Hotmods, SCDRA 4 Cylinders and Mini Wedges.
