Top-10 finish in Texas Dirt Nationals prelim

On Friday afternoon, Morgan Bagley made the short trip to Texas Motor Speedway (Fort Worth, Texas) to compete in his home state for the inaugural Texas Dirt Nationals. Drawing 33 Late Models for the two-day event, Bagley rebounded to place second in his B-Main after mechanical issues prevented him from competing in his heat race. With $10,000 on the line in the feature, Morgan advanced through the field 14 spots in the 25-lapper to register an impressive eighth-place finish. (Chris McDill photo)

The following night, Morgan timed in seventh fastest in his group before placing fourth in his heat race. Starting the $50,000-to-win Texas Dirt Nationals finale in 14th, Bagley clawed forward three spots in the 30-lap affair to place 11th.
