Pair of Top-10 finishes in Texas Throwback at TMS

On Friday evening, Austin Theiss returned to the driver’s seat of his Theiss Motorsports No. 7D Late Model at The Dirt Track at Texas Motor Speedway (Fort Worth, Texas) for the two-day Texas Throwback. With a ninth-to-seventh run in his heat race pinning him 19th on the starting grid for the opening night feature, Theiss marched through the field 11 spots to register an eighth-place finish.

For another $2,500-to-win A-Main on Saturday, Austin dropped one spot in his heat race to place seventh. Rolling off 19th for the main event, Theiss passed 12 cars in the 25-lap affair to reel an impressive seventh-place finish.
