Independence Day Modified Firecracker 50 Presented By City Of Banks And Baseline Pawn Next For SSP; Fireworks To Follow

Banks, Oregon- If you love racing and fireworks than be sure to spend your Independence Day at Sunset Speedway Park on Tuesday, July 4th. The “Banks Bullring” will be hosting the City of Banks/Baseline Pawn Modified Firecracker 50 and will be headlined by the Budweiser IMCA Modifieds. Also in action include the IMCA Sport Mods, Bridgeport Logistics Street Stocks, and 4-Bee’s. Once all of the racing has been completed a massive fireworks display will be put on.
Coming off of the exciting Wild West Modified Shootout the Modified Firecracker 50, presented by the City of Banks and Baseline Pawn, should be another great night of action for the Budweiser IMCA Modifieds. Jesse Williamson was the one that bested the field during the Banks stop of the Wild West Modified Shootout. Other feature winners include John Campos, Aaron Elwess, Clark Tenney, and Kenny Miller.
The Bridgeport Logistics Street Stocks are back after two non-point races over this past weekend. Arnie Case, Joey Tardio, and Chris West have won point events while Rod Lowe and Jack Parshall were the two non-point victors.
John Henry has won three of the four IMCA Sport Mod races. The only other driver that has emerged victorious includes Brian Cooper. Last but not least is the 4-Bee division. John Gartner leads the division with the most wins over Bob Berg and Corey Watts who have one each.
Pit Gates open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates 4:00, Time Trials begin at 5:30, with Racing kicking off at 6:30. Tickets are $16.00 for Adults and Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $13.00, and Youths (12-6) $8.00. A Family Pass (Two Adults and up to four Youths) is offered for $55.00 while Premium Seats are available for $35.00 each. For more information log on to www.sunsetspeedwaypark.com.
