Elwess, West, Graham, Youngren, And Conroy Get September 16th SSP Wins

Banks, Oregon- Sunset Speedway Park would be back in action on Saturday, September 16th, after a rain out the previous weekend. The “Banks Bullring” would have some great racing over the course of the evening. Classes in competition included the Budweiser IMCA Modifieds, Bridgeport Logistics Street Stocks, IMCA Sport Mods, Dwarf Cars, and 4-Bee’s.
Vancouver, Washington driver Aaron Elwess would win for the second time this season in the Budweiser IMCA Modifieds. Craig Loomis, also from Vancouver, would get his second Bridgeport Logistic Street Stock triumph of 2017. But unfortunately after post race tech Loomis was disqualified giving the win to Chris West, of Woodland, Washington, for his second win this season. Rick Graham was the driver to get the job done in the IMCA Sport Mods.
In Dwarf Car action Tigard traveler Shane Youngren was the winner when the checkered flag would drop and is the third time he has done so. Youngren also would win the 2017 track championship. Ryan Conroy won the 4-Bee main event for a season leading third time.
Sunset Speedway Park hosts action on Saturday, September 23rd. Classes racing include the Budweiser IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sport Mods, Pure Stocks, New Bees, and both classes of 600cc Micro Sprints. It will be the final points night for the IMCA classes, New Bees, and Dwarf Cars.
Pit Gates open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates 4:00, Time Trials begin at 5:30, with Racing kicking off at 6:30. Tickets are $13.00 for Adults and Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $10.00.
