James, Herrman, Campbell, LaPointe, Timms, Scheulen and Bennett Top USAC Weekly Action at Port City Raceway

TULSA, Okla. (May 5, 2019) - Danny James, Jordan Herrman, Jayson Campbell, Tyler LaPointe, Ryan Timms, Parker Scheulen and Thad Bennett topped their respective class on Saturday night during USAC Weekly Racing action at Port City Raceway.

126 entries checked in for action at the 1/8 mile bullring including 20- USAC Outlaws, 33- USAC Non-Wing, 18- USAC A-Class, 11- USAC Sportsman, 17- USAC Restricted, 14- USAC Junior Sprints and 13- USAC Masters.

Danny James ran to victory in USAC Outlaw competition on Saturday. Shawn Wicker crossed in the runner up spot with Kris Carroll in third. Kevin Bayer took fourth and Jake Nail in fifth.

Matt Taylor, Frank Galusha, Ethan Wicker, Christopher Townsend and Chase Porter brought up the top ten.

Dalton Brown, Carroll and Jerrod Wilson claimed the three heat races.

Jordan Herrman topped the USAC Non-Wing feature event. Herrman came from the B-Feature event and started in the 18th starting spot. Jake Nail finished in the runner up spot with Dylan Dickson taking the third spot. Greg Emeterio, Jr. was fourth with John Hull fifth.

Hunter Fischer claimed the sixth spot with Shawn Mahaffey, Dustin Dixon, Brian Potter and Daniel Shaffer claiming the top ten spots.

Caleb Pence, Chris Crawford, Hull and Garth Kasiner picked up heat race victories. The lone B-Feature went to Ryan Timms.

Jayson Campbell picked up his first feature event win on Saturday in USAC A-Class action. Campbell started the 25-lap feature event in the fifth starting spot. Jason Tracy followed in second with Blake Battles rounding out the podium. Jake Rosario came home fourth with Ryan Timms rounding out the top five.

Kris Carroll, Shawn Mahaffey, Gage Laney, Kayla Ward and Garth Kasiner brought up the top ten.

Ward and Rosario picked up the nights two heat race wins.

Another first time winner visited victory lane on Saturday night as Tyler LaPointe picked up his first feature win in the USAC Sportsman division. Bobby McIntosh was second with Troy Minton in third. Dave Nicholson finished in the fourth with Kaimron Schoonover fifth.

Justin Simpson, Jeff Harris, Bre Lamb, Ryan Cody and Kevin Morris rounded out the top ten.

Minton and Michaela Jewsbury picked up heat wins.

Ryan Timms returned to victory lane in the USAC Restricted competition. Timms started 14th in the feature event. Hayden Mabe was the runner up with Rees Moran rounding out the podium. Kylee Young and Brody McLaughlin finished fourth and fifth.

Aidan Silva, Kayden Cole, Preston Scheulen, Chase Wright and Grayson Gaddy rounded out the top ten.

Thomas Byford and Silva picked up the heat race wins.

USAC Junior Sprint victory went to Parker Scheulen. Scheulen started in the tenth starting spot with Jase Blevins crossing in second. Cale McGee finished in third with Brody McClelland in fourth. The top five rounded out with Hudsyn Truitt.

Ayden Parrish, Tyler Crow, Ryker Griggs, Masyn Truitt and Sky Bartholomew brought up the top ten in the feature event.

Next Saturday night the NOW600 Lucas Oil National Micros return to Port City Raceway. Junior Sprints, Sportsman, Outlaw and Masters will also be racing. It is also $10 Car Load Night.
