Lucas Oil NOW600 Sooner 600 Week Extends to Five Nights in 2019

DRUMRIGHT, Okla. (February 28, 2019) - The third edition of Oklahoma's Week of Speed featuring Stock Non-Wing, Winged A-Class and Restricted 'A' Class Micro Sprints has extended to five nights of action in 2019.
Sooner 600 Week sanctioned under the Lucas Oil National Open Wheel 600 Series presented by Tel-Star Technologies will take place on June 12 through June 16 at five tracks across Oklahoma and Southeastern Kansas.
Each night the Restricted 'A' Class will pay $300 top prize and $40 to start the A-Main. All Non-Qualifiers will receive their pit pass money back.
In Winged A-Class and Stock Non-Wing competition the winner will walk away with $500 each night and $50 to start the A-Main. Non-Qualifiers will receive their pit pass money back.

Entry fees for Sooner 600 Week will include pit pass and $10 draw fee for Members and $15 for Non-Members payable at draw. No pre-entry is required for Sooner 600 Week.
There is absolutely no caps on entries.
Format for Oklahoma Speedweek will follow standard Lucas Oil NOW600 National Series format. Drivers will draw in at the NOW600 competition trailer for starting spots. Passing points will be used to calculate Semi and A-Main lineups. High point driver of the night will draw for A-Main invert.
All Sooner 600 Week events are points races for the Lucas Oil NOW600 National Series.
Lucas Oil NOW600 Series General and Class Rules will apply each night.
The action will kick off on Wednesday, June 12 at Caney Valley Speedway in Caney, Kansas. CVS is a quick quarter mile that has hosted the NOW600 National Series a total of six events since the series inception in 2013. In last years Sooner 600 Week appearance, Shawn Mahaffey took the Restricted 'A' Class win while Hank Davis doubled up in Winged A-Class and Stock Non-Wing.
Thursday nights action will shift to Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Creek County has hosted 21 events with the Lucas Oil NOW600 Series since the beginning of time. In the 2018 edition of Speedweek at Creek County Speedway, Shawn Mahaffey took Restricted honors while Frank Flud swept the A-Class and Non-Wing divisions.
Red Dirt Raceway in Meeker, Oklahoma will host the Friday night portion of Sooner 600 Week. The red clay oval has seen four events contested with the series since 2017. During the Speedweek 2018, Shawn Mahaffey again captured the Restricted class while Riley Goodno claimed the A-Class victory and Hank Davis winning in Non-Wing.
For the second season, Port City Raceway in Tulsa, Oklahoma will play host to Sooner 600 Week on Saturday night. Since re-opening in 2018, PCR has hosted seven NOW600 National Series events. During the 2018 Speedweek appearance, Ryan Timms cut off Mahaffey's win streak while Frank Flud claimed the A-Class win and Jerry McGinnis claimed his first National Series victory in Non-Wing.
For the first time in the three seasons of Speedweek a fifth night has been added with Arkoma Speedway in Arkoma, Oklahoma slated to conclude the five night swing. Arkoma Speedway was built in 2018 and has played host to four events with the National Tour since the gates have opened at the 1/5 mile oval. The Sunday night finale will be a first for Sooner 600 Week.
