DANIELS TAKES MERIDIAN 30-LAPPER

California, North Carolina, Virginia and Indiana all host USAC HPD Midget competition this week. Western races are on tap at Ventura (Calif.) Raceway Wednesday, Keller Auto Raceway at Plaza Park in Visalia, Calif. Friday and Lemoore (Calif.) Raceway Saturday. Eastern participants are set for Friday at Ace Speedway in Altamahaw, N.C. and Saturday at Shenandoah (Va.) Raceway while the Midwest series visits Plymouth (Ind.) Speedway Saturday.

Michael Daniels of West Valley City, Utah and Jesse Love IV of Menlo Park, CA recorded feature victories in USAC HPD racing Thursday night at Meridian Speedway. Daniels led all 30 laps to win the Western HPD main event over Dylan Nobile, Jim Waters, fast qualifier Toni Breidinger and Cody Jessop. In the accompanying 15-lap restricted feature, Love lad all the way to beat Annie Breidinger, Dezel West and Jessop.
