Ohio Valley Speedway Celebrates Racers at 2022 Season Championship Banquet

Washington, W.Va. (February 19, 2023) – On Saturday, Feb. 18, Ohio Valley Speedway fans and racers gathered at The Blennerhassett Hotel to celebrate the 2022 season at the Celebration of Champions Awards Banquet.

Attendees were treated to a baked steak dinner as awards were given out throughout the evening. A good time was had by all.

The top five in each division were awarded with a trophy and professional photo of them throughout the season. First place division winners were given an album of their racing photos, as well. These first place division winners will also receive free pit gate entry throughout the 2023 season.

Mac McDonald and Colin Knox were honored as recipients of the Gene Johnson Passion Award. This award is given in honor of Gene Johnson to individuals showing passion for racing that shines above their competitors and community.

In addition to this, Ronnie Mayle was honored at the Hard Luck after a crash in the first race of the 2022 season caused severe head injuries and removed him from the majority of the season racing action. K.C. Burdette was honored Feature Phenom after picking up the most feature wins of the season.

Congrats to the 2022 award winners, and The Valley is excited to get the 2023 season underway in just a few short months!
