'Vapors in the Valley' to Kickoff OVSCA Season at Ohio Valley Speedway This Friday Night

(Lubeck, WV) The Ohio Valley Management Group successfully and officially swung open the gates last Friday Night for the 63rd Season at the Ohio Valley Speedway and an enthusiastic crowd were treated to a fantastic night of short track racing. The busy offseason by the OVMG that seen an emphasis on improving the racing surface by adding additional clay, widening and reshaping along with new guardrail and catchfence in turn 3 & 4 was deemed ultra-successful as the racing action on Opening Night was door-to-door and side-by-side all night long.

This coming week, Friday Night, April 23rd we welcome back the mighty 410 Winged Sprints of the OVSCA Sprint Series as they kick off their 2021 season with ‘Vapors in the Valley’. The lightning quick winged warriors will give the new surface a proper christening as they zoom around the ‘Valley’ and its paperclip configuration that should make for some awesome 410 racing action. Just some of the sprinters that are expected to kickoff the season at ‘Vapors in the Valley’: Todd Kane, Hunter Lynch, Andre Layfield, Chris Garnes, Mark Imler, Eric Martin, Chris Smalley, Brian Benson, Dave Dickson , Tyler Street, Wayne McPeek, John McCreary, Greg Mitchell, Nathan Skaggs, Josh Davis, Bryan Nuckles, Brandon Conkle, Nate Reeser, Jason Dolick.

Also on the jammed card will be the $700 to win SCDRA Bill’s Auto Salvage 4Cylinder WV State Championship Qualifier event along with the Super Late Models, UMP Modifieds, Pike Street Lanes Sportmods and WRA Mini Wedges presented by Mike’s Auto Body.

Gates open at 4:00pm, with drivers meeting scheduled at 6:00pm, registration ends at 6:15pm, WRA Mini Wedges at 6:30pm and hotlap/qualifying getting underway at 7pm. General admission is just $15 with kids 10 and under free and Pit Passes $30.
