Racing at Murray County Speedway
Avoca Spray, Rowdy’s Repair, and Miller Sneller all of Slayton sponsored the Friday August 12th races. The H.O.T.R.O.D. touring series made an appearance at the race track.
MCRA S&S Electric Pickups
Matt Odom and Jon Joehnck lead the field onto the track. As the green flag drops Joehnck pulls away with the lead. Jason Wynia challenges Odom for second place. Joehnck is able to hold off for the win with Odom and Wynia following close behind.
IMCA Last Chance Auto Parts Sport Compacts
Joshua Uhl and Austin Friedrich lead the field onto the track. As the green flag waves Uhl pulls out to the early lead. Matt Smith, Ryan Westman and Friedrich go three wide for second place. Uhl falls back behind Westman and Smith battling for the lead. Nate Coopman and Neil Forsberg go side by side for the fifth place position. Westman takes the lead. Uhl makes his way around Smith for second place. Coopman makes his way around Smith and Uhl for second place. Coopman challenges Westman for the lead. Coopman pulls away and hold off for the win with Westman and Uhl following close behind.
IMCA Bolluyt Trucking Hobby Stocks
Jeremy Johnson and Justin Bolluyt lead the field to the green. Once the green is dropped Bolluyt jumps out to the early lead. Justin Luinenberg, Trevor Holm, and Eric Gillette go three wide for fourth place. A caution is out for Nathan Gegner. It will be a full restart with no laps down. As the green flag waves Bolluyt jumps out to the early lead. Holm, Adam Synder, Luinenberg, and Johnson go four wide for second place. Luinenberg pulls away with the second place. Adam Synder and Cory Probst go side by side for fifth place. A caution it out. On the restart Bolluyt jumps out with the lead. A caution is out for Cody Ross entering the spin cycle. Bolluyt pulls away on the restart. Holm and Gillette battling for third place. Holm pulls away. Dan Strandberg makes his way around Gillette for third place. Luinenberg challenges Bolluyt for the lead. A caution is out for Parker Anderson. On the start Bolluyt jumps out front. Probst and Strandberg battle for fourth place. A caution is out as Strandberg enters the spin cycle. This caution will be charged on Probst. On the restart Bolluyt jumps out in front. Adam Synder and Gillette battle for fourth place. A caution is out for Probst coming to a stop on the front stretch, this is his second caution ending his night. On the restart it will be green white checkered. Bolluyt jumps out to the lead. Bolluyt drops back. Luinenberg is able to take the win with Holm and Strandberg following close behind.

Curt Schuur and Gen Klingenberg lead the field onto the track. As the green flag waves Bryan Mooney and David Holmgren Jr. battle for the fifth place position. A caution is out for Holmgren Jr. On the restart Schuur jumps out in front, Wayne Oftedahl and Klingenberg battle for the second place position. Schuur pulls away. Mark Oftedahl challenges Klingenberg for third place. Klingenberg falls to the back of the pact. Schuur pulls off to the pits ending his night. Mooney and Jason Anderson battle for fifth place. Holmgren Jr. makes his way around Oftedahl. W.Oftedahl is able to hold on for the win with Holmgren Jr, and M.Oftedahl following close behind.

Nick Johansen and Devin Kuehne lead the field to the start. As the green flag waves Johansen jumps out front. Kevin DeBaere and Dustin Larson battle for fifth place. Levi Feltman challenges Kuehne battle for second place. DeBaere falls back. Larson passes Jake Bruns for fourth place. Kuehne is able to hold Feltman off for second. Larson makes his way around Feltman for the third place position. Larson passes Kuehne for second. Dan Mackenthun makes his way into the fourth place position. A caution is out for Kuehne. On the restart Larson jumps out with the lead. Mackenthun makes his way around Johansen for second place. Larson is able to hold off for the win with Mackenthun and Johansen following close behind.
IMCA Sturdevant’s Auto Supply Northern Sport Mods
Jim Horesji and Darin Veen lead the field to the green. On the start Horesji jumps out with the early lead. Tony Rialson and Veen go side by side for third place. Veen falls back. Matt Looft makes his way around Ed Leonard for fifth place. A caution is out for Wade Gunnick. On the restart Horesji jumps out up front. A caution is out for a pile up in turn two. The caution is charged to Danny Myrvold. On the restart Horejsi jumps out front. Looft and Kurt Zuhlsdorf battle for second place. A caution is out from Gunnick ending his night. On the restart Zuhlsdorf and Rialson battle for fourth. Zuhlsdorf pulls away. Jeremy Van Ede takes over the third place position. Looft passes Horesji for the lead. Looft is able to hold on for the win with Horesji and Van Ede following close behind.
Friday August 19th races will be sponsored by Pioneer Seed and The Murray County Fair. It is fair week in Murray County. The IMCA Mods will be making another appearance.
