Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Adds Fall 40 Weekend at Mudlick Valley Raceway for October 4-5
SOMERSET, KENTUCKY (June 26, 2024)—After a very successful June 15th event, officials of the Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series fueled by VP and Mudlick Valley Raceway located in Wallingford, Ky. have announced details for the Second Annual “Fall 40” Weekend at the Lewis County, Kentucky oval.
On Friday October 4, the Super Late Models will race 20 laps for $2,500-to-win and $200-to-start to open the two-day weekend activities. The event will be a non-points race for the series but officiated by the series. No entry fee will be charged for Friday’s portion of the event and points drivers will receive provisional starting spots if needed for the feature.
On Saturday October 5, the Super Late Models will race 40 laps for $10,000-to-win and $500-to-start serving as the tour’s season finale. This will mark the second five-figure payday on the 2024 series schedule. The entry fee for Saturday October 5 will be the standard $50.
During last year’s Inaugural Fall 40 at Mudlick Valley Raceway, R.J. Conley of Wheelersburg, Ohio picked up the $10,000 payday over Tyler Erb of New Waverly, Texas, Drake Troutman of Hyndman, Pa., Greg Johnson of Bredford, Ind. and Zack Dohm of Charleston, W.V who rounded out the top-five.
More details on the Second Annual Fall 40 weekend will be released in the coming weeks including tire rules, ticket prices, times and supporting divisions.
“We want to thank Jamie & Judith Jent and their family for stepping up and putting on this huge weekend for October. They have made so many improvements to Mudlick over the last few years and our race back on June 15 was definitely special with great racing and an epic finish to end the night,” stated American Late Model Iron-Man Series co-owner Chris Tilley.
